Pomegranates in the Wild

Did you ever stop to wonder where ruby red pomegranate seeds oozing sweet, tart juiciness come from?  I don’t mean which high-end food emporium or grocery store where you can buy them.  I never really thought about it, until I visited the Atlanta Botanical Garden.  I saw pomegranates bathing in the sun on rows of bushes.  The round fruit comes in different shades of red and purple and has the cutest little fluted bottom.  If you have a chance, seek out an opportunity to see these delicious delicacies in the wild or at least in a well manicured garden.
