How To Use Our Services
- Contact us to arrange pick-up, email, or mailing of your photo(s) and describe the restoration/retouching you would like.
- Based on the condition of the photo, we’ll have a consultation with you to determine the services you’d like to order.
- We’ll email an invoice with a price quote for the restoration/retouching that we’ve discussed.
- If you agree, pay using the invoice using Paypal or a credit card. We also accept a money order or personal check.
- When we receive your payment, we will begin the work.
- We’ll post final proofs to a personalized gallery on our website and send you the website address and password to review proofs of your photos.
- Once you’ve approved the proofs, we’ll move forward with printing your order.
- We’ll leave the gallery up for month to share with friends and family.
Pricing
Photo restoration and retouching fees are based on the number of hours required to complete the work. Our price quotes represent an estimate of the amount of work involved to obtain the best possible results. We always remove dust, scratches, and minor imperfections although these defects may not be noticeable at normal viewing distances.
Minor Restoration – $29.99 Per Photo
- Photo is in very good condition – needs only a few very minor repairs or enhancements.
- Remove minor stains, dust, or scratches
- Remove “red eye”
- Repair minor cracks, creases, or tears
- Repair slight fading or discoloration
- Straighten
- Enlarge or reduce (maximum size 8″ x 10″)
Moderate Restoration – $39.99 Per Photo
- Photo is in good to poor condition and needs a number of repairs or enhancements.
- Repair moderate discoloration or fading
- Repair damaged or missing edges
- Remove moderate scratches or tears
- Repair creases and partially torn photos (with no missing pieces)
- Repair or add background
Major Restoration – $49.99 – $69.99 Per Photo (depending on severity)
- Photo is in poor to very bad condition and needs extensive repair or enhancement
- Sections of photo missing or significantly damaged
- Missing important detail in face or body area
- Severe mold and or water damage
- Severe or numerous scratches and or surface cracking
- Severe fading, yellowing or staining
Colorization – $19.99 per photo
- Colorize a black and white photo.
- Price is in addition to any applicable restoration fees.
- Price depends on the amount of detail needed to be colorized (i.e., the number of people/amount of background detail). Send an email copy for us to review.
Special Alterations – $24.99 per alteration
- We can:
- Remove objects or people
- Replace backgrounds
- Add objects or people from other photos
- Price is in addition to any applicable restoration fees.
- Price depends on the amount of detail needed to alter the photo (i.e., the number of people/amount of background detail) and the number of alterations.
- Send an email copy for us to review, and we’ll email you a free estimate.
Scanning & Archiving Photos on CD/DVD – $3.00 per photo + $3.00 per CD/DVD (maximum photo size 8.5″ x 11″);
- We offer scanning and archiving of your important photographs, documents, and historical photographs to CD or DVD that will preserve them for a lifetime.
- Photos saved on CD/DVD do not deteriorate, fade, or change in color.
- Scanning and Archiving Services Include:
- Scan photos manually at 300 or 600 dpi
- Copy scanned photographs to CD or DVD
- Volume discounts available
